Councillor Vacancy

Three vacancies exist for parish councillors. Please contact the clerk if you are interested.  Whilst we do not have a policy of positive discrimination, we are currently an all male council and we would like to remedy the situation!  So, come on ladies.  Here's your opportunity to join and make a difference!!

Major footpath upgrades Under Way

The footpath that goes from opposite Spriteshall lane and eventually ends up at Blofield track is currently closed so that the famously muddy section between the two bridges, can be sorted. Also, the footpath that goes from Blofield track, alongside the railway, all the way to the docks(Fagbury Cliffs) will be shut to enable that path to be made more useable during the winter months.  We have been pleading for years for both these to be done and had virtually given up hope.  But, never say never, it seems.

Trimley Train Station Adopter News

After 11 years of stirling work at Trimley station, John Woollan and his wife Betty have decided that they will "call it a day" as Station Adopters at the end of 2016.  All who have seen John and Betty's handiwork in keeping the station gardens in trim and the station looking tidy, will appreciate their immense dedication to this work.  They have even had to carry the water to keep the plants looking nice all the way from their home in Manor Close, there being no supply at the station itself.  Thank you, John and Betty for all your work over the years.

If any Trimley based person(s) is interested in taking over this work, we would be pleased to pass your name onto Abellio Greater Anglia, contact Bryan Frost at:
